The Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICBP) was established in 1977 by a referendum of Iowa farmers, and its members continue to work towards increasing the market for corn growers and producers. ICBP distributes and invests money collected through the checkoff program. Seventeen elected corn growers make up the ICPB. The Iowa Corn Growers Association was founded in 1968 as an organization of corn growers dedicated to addressing issues that support and help improve the Iowa corn industry. Membership dues help finance the Iowa Corn Growers Association's lobbying and legislative efforts in both Iowa and Washington, D.C.
